Droopy Tulip Tips & Tricks:

If you’ve followed our bouquet care (link to tulip bouquet care) and you find that your tulips seem to be dropping out of the vase, here are some tips and tricks that may help you

✨ Make sure your vase accommodates and supports the stems of your tulips. Tall, straight-sided, and un-flared vases are great for tulips!

✨ Tulip stems will keep growing and elongating. Due to being top heavy, gravity will pull down on your beautiful tulip heads

✨ Sometimes gas bubbles build up in the stem which hinder the flow of hydration. The gas bubbles need to be released

✨ Push a thin needle or safety pin through the stem at the base of the neck and pull out

✨ Wrap the tulip bunch nice and straight with the wrapping they came with or newspaper etc overnight with their stems in water but careful not to let the paper touch the water. Remove the paper carefully the next day

✨ Some people have found that a copper penny will help keep Tulips fresher longer by acting as a natural fungicide which prevents bacteria and algae from growing in the vase water. To effectively use a copper penny to potentially prolong the life of your tulips, you'll want to use one minted before 1982. These older pennies contain a higher percentage of copper (95%) compared to newer pennies, which are mostly zinc with a thin copper coating
